John Behan: ODYSSEY, screening and Q&A

Join us for an exclusive screening of Donald Taylor Black's John Behan: Odyssey in UCD's Trapdoor Theatre on 3rd March at 3pm, as part of the CFA screening series.

It will be followed by a Q&A with Donald Taylor Black (Director), John Behan (Sculptor), and Bill Whelan (Composer), hosted by Professor Emily Mark-Fitzgerald (UCD School of Art History & Cultural Policy) and Professor PJ Mathews (UCD Creative Futures Academy, School of English, Drama and Film).

Taylor Black conjures the life and work of Ireland’s best-known living sculptor, John Behan, through a mix of interviews, observational footage, and richly illustrative archival film.

This modest man reflects on a long and distinguished career as he travels to Athens, where he has given art workshops to migrants and refugees. A commitment to social justice has always been part of his life and work.

Reserve your place via (opens in a new window)Eventbrite.

Run time: 80 minutes, followed by Q&A.
